Screening Auditory Discrimination Abilities (S.A.D A.)
The Screening Auditory Discrimination Abilities (S.A.D A.) is a screening tool that is quick and easy to administer. This discrimination assessment was created and evolved to address the need to systematically assess and record children’s perception of speech features when listening with their technology in LSL therapy.
Administration of the SADA indicates what children are hearing, and if they are accessing all the necessary aspects of speech through their technology. Results of the assessment provide targets for improving auditory perception based on the auditory access of speech features and speech acoustics to target appropriate auditory intervention goals.
